The brain child of Claire Sutton and Katie Helps

Katie Helps and myself set out on a proactive mission to try and make a dent in the huge issue that is men’s mental health, and particular trying to create a place where positivity and support was created.

So, on the darkest weekend of the year (Winter Solstice) we hosted a huge celebration of friendship and positivity. Co-hosting the event will be the Melbourne based, Tell Your Friends You Love them, a not for profit organisation dedicated to raising awareness for mental illness, supporting friends in hard times through opening up channels of support and the trust that foster life saving bonds between mates.

Sunday the 23rd has been dubbed SABBATH BLOODY SUNDAY. A day party that celebrates the holy trinity; the freedom of Sunday, Bloody Mary's and Black Sabbath.

There was a dedicated Bloody Mary Bar with a range speciality Bloody Marys where punters can customise their own garnishes. A huge classic pub style hamper will be raffled off to raise further funds for the cause and of course Dj's playing strictly Sabbath.

We hope Sabbath Bloody Sunday becomes a regular event we can throw annually to do our part to remind people of the joys of friendship and Black Sabbath on the darkest weekend of the year.

We raised over $5000 for our charity partner to continue their campaign for supporting positivity surrounding mental health.

A large output of this project was creating tiles people could share on social media, we created many tiles and sent them out in the world in form of Instagram Stories + square format tiles for use on all platforms.
